Tree Free Papers

For the ultimate in sustainability, Reich Paper offers two Tree Free lines of paper. SAVOY 100% pure cotton paper is manufactured from cotton linters which are a by-product of the textile industry and which are too small to be used in fabric. AVEO is made from 90% sugar cane stalks which are either put into a landfill or burned in some countries after the liquid is removed from the stalk to make sugar. This material is a good source of fiber to make paper. The balance of 10% of AVEO is a combination of linen and hemp which we add for additional strength and foldability. These materials are also a by-product of the textile industry. 100% of the raw material used to make AVEO would have ended up in a landfill if it were not used to make this paper.
